Deploy a static site

A static site is a folder of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images, with no server code.

Fastest: from a folder

cd my-site
hivepod deploy

From GitHub

Start a new app, pick the repository and click Deploy with Drone, or pick the Static site preset. Make sure index.html is in the root, or set Root Directory to the folder that contains it (for example public).

Tips

• Generated sites (Hugo, Jekyll, Astro, Eleventy and others): Drone builds them for you. With a preset, use the Vite or Static site preset with a build command that produces the site.
• Add your own domain; HTTPS is automatic.
