Usage, overage and bandwidth

Metric What counts
Build time Minutes spent building your apps, including failed builds. Rollbacks and code Drone refuses before building are free.
HivePod vCPU-hours vCPU × hours for running pods. Memory is included.
Database storage GB actually used, averaged over the month (GB-months), not the limit you set.
Bandwidth Data sent from DockHive to the internet.

Usage beyond your plan’s monthly allowance is billed at:

Metric Rate
Compute (HivePods) $0.05 per vCPU-hour
Build time $0.05 per build hour
Database storage $0.10 per GB-month
Bandwidth $0.02 per GB

On the Free Tier, usage is capped and never billed.

Bandwidth is the data your apps, databases, n8n workspaces, HivePods and tunnels send out to visitors and clients (egress), measured in GB (1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes). One allowance covers all products and all regions:

  • Free Tier: 500 MB per month. When it’s used up: “Included bandwidth used up. Upgrade for more.”
  • Developer Plan: 100 GB per month, then $0.02 per GB.

Data coming in (uploads to your app, requests) isn’t counted.

The Billing & Usage page in the console shows:

  • Real-Time Cost and Next Invoice estimates,
  • Service Usage & Performance, per metric, against your allowance,
  • Export Usage, which downloads this period’s usage as a CSV file.

From an AI assistant, the MCP server’s usage_and_cost tool returns the same figures.
