Command reference

Run hivepod <command> --help for details on any command. Wherever a command takes a pod, you can use its name or id.

Command What it does
hivepod login [--no-browser] [-e EMAIL] Sign in to your DockHive account.
hivepod logout Sign out on this computer.
hivepod config list Show the current configuration.
hivepod config set KEY VALUE Set a configuration value, such as default_size.
Command What it does
hivepod deploy [PATH] Deploy a folder as an app with Drone. See hivepod deploy.
Command What it does
hivepod os [--all] [--family linux|windows|bsd] Operating systems you can launch.
hivepod list List your pods.
hivepod create [NAME] Create a pod: an interactive wizard, or pass --os to script it.
hivepod status POD Show a pod’s status and live metrics.
hivepod start POD Start a stopped pod.
hivepod stop POD Stop a running pod (your data stays).
hivepod restart POD Restart a pod.
hivepod suspend POD Suspend (pause) a running pod.
hivepod resume POD Resume a suspended pod.
hivepod connect POD Open an interactive terminal in a pod.
hivepod exec POD COMMAND... Run one command in a pod and print the output.
hivepod logs POD [--tail N] [-f] Show (or follow) a pod’s logs.
hivepod env POD [KEY=VALUE ...] [--unset KEY] [--cmd "..."] [--apply] Show or change environment variables and the startup command.
hivepod apply POD [-y] Apply pending environment and startup-command changes.
hivepod rm POD [-y] Delete a pod permanently.

create options:

Option Meaning
--os SLUG Operating system, for example ubuntu-24.04.
--size nano|micro|small|medium Preset size (default micro).
--cpu N --ram 8g --disk 80g Custom size (all three needed).
--region R Region, for example eu.
--subdomain S The pod’s web address subdomain.
--env KEY=VALUE Environment variable (repeatable).
--cmd "..." Startup command.

Lifecycle commands (start, stop, restart, suspend, resume, apply, rm) wait until done; add --no-wait to return immediately, or --timeout SECONDS to change how long they wait.

Command What it does
hivepod backup create POD [--name LABEL] [--description TEXT] Back up a pod’s data and projects folders.
hivepod backup list [POD] List backups.
hivepod backup restore BACKUP_ID NAME [--subdomain S] [--size T] Create a new pod from a backup.
hivepod backup rm BACKUP_ID [-y] Delete a backup.
Command What it does
hivepod mcp Run the DockHive MCP server over stdio. See MCP server.
hivepod mcp --print-config Print ready-made config snippets for Claude, Cursor and Windsurf.
